About Us
Since 2006, the Science Undergraduate Society Environment Committee has organized GreenWeek to increase students' awareness and consciousness of the environment. GreenWeek is a week of student-run workshops, events and activities that are both entertaining and informative, but mainly geared towards promoting a culture of sustainability. This year, GreenWeek will take place during the week of March 18th – 22nd, 2013.
This year, the GreenWeek team has set a goal to increase a lasting sense of environmental awareness in both SUS and the McGill community. We hope to achieve this by raising money and awareness for Evergreen Canada. The committee wanted to give back to the Montreal community, which has oriented our choice towards Evergreen, a national charity since 1991 that has been showing Canadians in schools, communities, and homes how to take a hands-on-approach in creating and maintaining dynamic outdoor spaces in their urban environment.
